Bicyclettes Bicyclettes were formed in 1988 when Robert Stredder found a rusting 1940?s delivery bicycle in the coach-house at Groundwell Farm Arts Workshop. A few licks of red paint and a show magically appeared out of the big basket. Juggling and other circus skills followed after visits to many Circus Conventions and along with Jackie Bardwell, dancer extraordinare, Bicyclettes have been vamping it up visually for the last 14 years.
Although living in Blunsdon near Swindon, Wiltshire, they have traveled extensively all over England, as well as in Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Holland, France, Germany, Austria and Poland. They have appeared at many festivals, including the Edinburgh Festival, Dundee 800th, Dublin Theatre Festival, numerous Glastonbury?s, Chippenham Folk, Fairport Reunion, Cropedy, Guildford Rock and the Annual London to Brighton Bike Ride (in aid of the Heart Foundation). Their love of bicycles spills over into the show and they usually have a bike of one sort or other with them.
They offer Cabaret, Fire Shows, Mix & Mingle and Workshops in Drama, Dance, Clowning and other Circus Skills for all ages.
Robbo-the-Clown and Jet-Set-Jackie hope you enjoy this video which demonstrates a variety of their many skills and they often include guest stars in their lineup! You can contact them on 01793 725206 or bicyclettes@bicyclettes.co.uk
